Patrick was admitted to the legal profession in Queensland in 1981 as a Solicitor. Patrick worked as a Solicitor in general practice for five years, primarily in Civil and Family Law.
Patrick moved to the Barrister’s side of the profession in 1986 and was in actual practice in Queensland from that date to 2020, again primarily in Civil and Family Law. Patrick was a member and Mediator at the Queensland Building Tribunal for 11 years. Patrick was also a member of the Social Security Appeals Tribunal and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal over a 27-year period, developing expertise in Social Security Law.
Patrick worked as a Duty Lawyer for 15 years on Saturday mornings in the fresh arrests Court at Brisbane.
Patrick has broad legal and practical experience. Patrick is a qualified Mediator as well as being a senior and very experienced legal practitioner.
